Updated 5 September 2026
Email Health Statuses Explained
Filter contacts by email health in the sidebar to manage your list hygiene.
Status Definitions
| Status | Meaning | Can Email? |
|---|---|---|
| Healthy | Email address is valid and active | Yes |
| Bounced | Email address doesn't exist or inbox is full | No |
| Complained | Marked your email as spam | No |
| Unsubscribed | Opted out of your emails | No |
Why This Matters
Sending to bounced or complained addresses:
- Damages your sender reputation
- Can get your account flagged or suspended
- Reduces deliverability to healthy contacts
What You Should Do
- Bounced contacts - Cannot be fixed. The email address is invalid.
- Complained contacts - Do NOT email them again. They reported you as spam.
- Unsubscribed contacts - Respect their choice. Only re-subscribe if they explicitly request it.
Automatic Protection
Our system automatically suppresses bounced and complained addresses to protect your deliverability.
