Quick answers

When do I get paid?

The flow

  1. Your customer pays; Stripe processes it instantly on your own account.
  2. Stripe holds new funds briefly.
  3. Stripe pays your bank on your payout schedule.

First payout

For a new Stripe account, the first payout usually takes one to two weeks while Stripe verifies you. After that, payouts run automatically.

Regular payouts

Once established, most accounts are paid within a few business days of each sale; timing depends on your country. You can change the schedule, for example daily, weekly or monthly, in your Stripe dashboard.

Where to look

  • Insights → Sales in Gadura: every sale and its status.
  • Your Stripe dashboard: balance, upcoming payouts and history.

What is deducted

Stripe's processing fee per payment. Gadura deducts nothing.

Refunds

Refunds come out of your Stripe balance, and Stripe keeps its processing fee. Plan your refund policy with that in mind.

How do I issue a refund?

Refunds are issued in Stripe, on your own account.

Steps

  1. Open your Stripe dashboard and find the payment.
  2. Choose Refund, full or partial, and add a reason for your records.
  3. Confirm. The buyer usually sees the money within five to ten business days.

Gadura records the refund and shows it under Insights → Sales as refunded.

Access

A refund does not remove access by itself. If the buyer should lose the course or community, remove them from the course's student list or the Sphere's members.

Subscriptions

Refund the most recent payment in Stripe, and cancel the subscription there if it should not continue. Earlier payments stay unless you refund each one.

Good to know

  • Stripe does not return its processing fee on a refund.
  • Refunded sales never count towards your milestones.
  • A stated refund policy on the checkout page prevents most disputes.

How do I offer payment plans?

A payment plan splits a price into instalments.

Setting one up

  1. Go to Sell → Offers & Checkout and open the offer.
  2. In Pricing Tiers, add or edit a tier and turn on Payment Plan.
  3. Set the total price, the number of instalments, and the billing cycle between them.
  4. Save.

The first instalment is charged at checkout and the buyer gets access immediately. The remaining instalments are charged automatically.

Pricing a plan

Many creators add a small premium to a plan, since instalments carry more risk of a failed payment. Offering the same total is also fine. Always keep a pay-in-full tier alongside.

If an instalment fails

Stripe retries the payment and Gadura emails the buyer so they can update their card. Failed and recovered payments show under Insights → Sales.

Keep it simple

Three or four instalments work well. Make the total clear whichever way people pay.
