Quick answers

Creating a Sphere

Steps

  1. Go to Create → Spheres.
  2. Choose New Sphere.
  3. Give it a name and a description.
  4. Pick the access type: Public, Private (approval needed), or Paid (linked to an offer).
  5. Choose whether members can start threads and upload attachments, and whether gamification is on.
  6. Create it.

What members get

Moments, threads, events, resources, direct messages, and any courses you attach. Members earn points and levels when gamification is on.

Access types

  • Public: anyone with the link can join.
  • Private: people request to join and you approve them.
  • Paid: membership comes with an offer, one-time or recurring, set under Sell → Offers & Checkout.

Limits

Spheres per plan: 2 on Starter, 3 on Pro, 5 on Elite. Members per Sphere: 100, 500, unlimited.

Tips

Welcome new members by name, post regularly, put events in the calendar, and pin your guidelines.

Managing Sphere Members

Inviting

  • Copy invite link on the Sphere page and share it anywhere.
  • Invite by email: send an invitation to a specific address.
  • Through an offer: Paid Spheres add members automatically when they buy.

Approval

Private Spheres hold new members until you approve them.

The members list

See each member, their level and their activity. Remove or ban a member from here.

Levels

Members progress through Rising, Member, Insider, Champion and Legend as they earn points, when gamification is on.

Limits

Each Sphere holds up to 100 members on Starter, 500 on Pro, and unlimited on Elite.

How do I invite members to my Sphere?

Share the invite link

  1. Go to Create → Spheres and open your Sphere.
  2. Choose Copy invite link.
  3. Share it anywhere. People who open it can join, or request to join if the Sphere is Private.

Invite by email

Send an invitation to a specific email address from the Sphere.

Include it in an offer

  1. Set the Sphere's access type to Paid.
  2. Link an offer under Sell → Offers & Checkout.
  3. Buyers are added when they pay.

Access types

  • Public: anyone with the link joins.
  • Private: you approve each request.
  • Paid: membership comes with the offer.

Removing members

Open the members list, find the person, and remove or ban them.

Threads and Discussions

Threads are the conversations of your Sphere.

Starting a thread

From the Lounge, or from the Sphere as a member, start a new thread with a title and an opening message. Attach images or files when attachments are allowed.

Replies, reactions and mentions

Members reply in the thread, react with one of four reactions, and mention each other with @ to notify them.

Pinned, locked and archived

  • Pin important threads so they stay at the top: welcome, guidelines, announcements.
  • Lock a thread to stop further replies while keeping it visible.
  • Archive a thread to tidy the Lounge.

Who can start threads

Decide in the Sphere settings whether members can start threads, or only you.

Good threads

Clear titles, some context before the question, and a reply from you to the first few people who answer.

Hosting Sphere Events

Events give your community a reason to show up at the same time.

Creating an event

  1. Open your Sphere and go to Events.
  2. Choose Create Event.
  3. Fill in the title, description, start time, meeting link (Zoom, Google Meet or any other), maximum attendees if you want a cap, and a cover image.
  4. Save. Members see it under upcoming events and can RSVP.

During and after

Run the session on your meeting platform. Afterwards, add a replay link to the event so members who missed it can watch. Past events stay listed.

Ideas that work

Group calls, live Q&A, workshops, and open office hours with no fixed agenda.

Moderating Your Sphere

The moderation centre

Open it from your Sphere's Lounge. It holds:

  • Reports: content members have flagged. For each, approve it, reject it, delete the content, dismiss the report, or mark it resolved while keeping the content.
  • Word filters: words or phrases that hold or block a post.

Thread controls

On any thread you can pin it, lock it to stop replies, or archive it. You can delete content that breaks your rules.

Members

From the members list you can remove or ban a member. Banned members cannot rejoin.

Guidelines

Pin a thread with your rules: be respectful, stay on topic, no spam, no harassment. Refer to it when you act.

Handling conflict

Act early, stay neutral, apply the rules the same way every time, and move sensitive conversations to direct messages.

Understanding Sphere Analytics

Open your Sphere and choose Analytics. Choose 7, 30 or 90 days.

What you see

  • Daily Activity: posts, replies and visits per day.
  • Top Contributors: the members driving the conversation.
  • Growth & Invites: how the community is growing and where members came from.
  • Engagement Insights: how much of the community is active and how that is changing.

Using it

Post and schedule events when activity is highest. If engagement dips, start a thread that asks a question, and reply to everyone who answers.

Direct Messages in Spheres

Between members

Members message each other only after one sends a connection request and the other accepts. Either can block the other at any time, which ends the conversation.

With you

You converse with members from your Sphere's Lounge. Members can reach you the same way.

Privacy

Messages are private to the two people in them. Inappropriate messages can be reported, and reports reach your moderation centre.

Resources Library

Share files and links with your members.

Adding a resource

  1. Open your Sphere and go to Resources.
  2. Choose Add Resource.
  3. Upload a file or paste a link, add a title and description, and choose a category.

What you can share

Documents, audio, video and archives up to 50 MB each; images up to 10 MB; and links to anything elsewhere.

Organising

Categories group resources, and members browse by them.

Tracking

Downloads are counted per resource.

Paid Spheres and Memberships

How paid access works

  1. Set the Sphere's access type to Paid.
  2. Link an offer, created under Sell → Offers & Checkout.
  3. The offer's tiers decide the price and billing: one-time, monthly or yearly, with a free trial if you want one.
  4. When someone buys, they are added to the Sphere.

When payments fail or stop

If a recurring payment fails, Stripe retries it and Gadura emails the member. If a subscription is cancelled, access continues until the paid period ends.

Seeing the money

Community memberships appear in Insights → Sales and count towards your revenue milestones.

Member limits still apply

Up to 100 members per Sphere on Starter, 500 on Pro, unlimited on Elite.
