How do I get my first sale?

Your first sale is a milestone. Here is exactly how to make it happen.

The quick checklist

1. Connect Stripe (Sell → Payments).
2. Create an offer (Sell → Offers & Checkout).
3. Give it a page: a sales page on your website, a landing page or a funnel.
4. Share the link.

Step 1: connect Stripe

You cannot get paid without this.

1. Go to Sell → Payments.
2. Choose Connect with Stripe.
3. Complete Stripe's onboarding. It takes five to ten minutes.

Step 2: decide what to sell

Start simple. Choose one:

• A mini-course: three to five lessons on one specific topic.
• A digital download: a guide, template or checklist.
• Community membership: paid access to your Sphere.

Step 3: create the offer

1. Go to Sell → Offers & Checkout.
2. Choose New Offer.
3. Attach what you are selling.
4. Set a price in your currency. For a first digital product, a modest price sells more easily than a premium one.
5. Write a description a stranger would understand.

Step 4: share it

Your offer page is your sales link. Share it on social media, in your email signature, with your existing audience and in communities where you are active.

Start with people who know you

First sales usually come from friends, followers, subscribers and people who have already asked for your help. Do not be shy about sharing what you have made.
